What to do when your block is ready?

1

Book a pickup

Fill out a quick pickup request form. Select a convenient time and pickup address.

2

Pack it up

Once your SPC has produced a solid block of soft plastic, place it into the prepaid return mailer provided in your subscription.

3

Leave it at the door

On pickup day, leave the envelope by your doorstep or mailbox for a contact-free pickup. The courier will collect it and take it to one of our recycling partners.

4

Recycled, for real

Your block goes to a certified U.S. recycling facility (e.g., Frankfort Plastics, Indiana) to be sorted, shredded, turned into raw material, and reused in durable goods.

Keeping your SPC clean

Your SPC doesn't mind getting its hands dirty, but a quick clean now and then keeps it in top shape. Wipe it down regularly to keep your waste compacting.

Frequently Asked Questions

The technology implemented in the SPC is thoroughly tested and proven safe for health. The appliance is not melting plastic, only softening it just enough to make it stick together. The air inside and outside SPC remains clean. This was proven by multiple professional tests for volatile organic compounds in the air.

Yes, all of our devices have undergone thorough testing for air quality and safety and have been determined safe for indoor use. The results confirmed that our devices do not exceed the Maximum Allowable Concentration (MAC) of any potentially harmful substances during operation.

The SPC’s monthly power consumption is approximately 3.3 kWh, which translates to around $0.52 per month, depending on your local electricity rates. It's designed to be high-performing and energy-efficient.

The SPC does not apply a fixed compression level. Instead, it adapts to the material being processed. For example, more rigid plastics can be compressed to approximately 1/5 their original volume, while lighter materials like bubble wrap can be compressed down to 1/10 their original volume.

One SPC stores about a month’s worth of soft plastic waste for an average household.

We recommend removing stickers and food residue when possible to keep the SPC clean and running smoothly and to prevent unpleasant odors and food buildup on the rollers or storage area. The cleaner the plastic, the higher the quality of reused plastic products that can be created.

No, the labels don’t expire after exactly one month.

Your subscription includes one prepaid mailer per month as an average usage guide, but we know that soft plastic use varies. If it takes you longer to fill your SPC block, you can still use the label later.

Important: USPS doesn’t officially expire unused labels, but some post offices may decline to process labels, depending on local policy.

To avoid any issues, we recommend using your labels within a few months of receiving them. If you need to skip a month or use one later — that’s totally fine!

The SPC is designed to be self-contained — it does not require consumables.

An adult's hand will not be damaged by the receiving rollers. The device will stop the rollers when it detects a hand in them. However, we do not recommend placing body parts in the rollers of the device intentionally. The device is not intended for use by children.

The majority of plastic waste today isn't recycled, and greenwashing has made it hard to know which solutions are truly making a difference. That’s exactly why we built Clear Drop.

We’re proud to share that our SPC (Soft Plastic Compactor) blocks are guaranteed to be recycled, not sent to landfills or shipped overseas.

Here’s how it works:

✅ We work with professional, verified recycling partners in the U.S., including Frankfort Plastics Inc., based in Indiana.

✅ They receive SPC blocks directly from our customers, then chop, clean, and process them into usable plastic feedstock.

✅ These materials are then used to create new products like outdoor furniture, industrial supplies, and more.

✅ Nothing is landfilled or incinerated, not only for environmental reasons, but because there’s real economic value in these compacted materials.

✅ And importantly, the entire cycle stays within the U.S., no exports, no unknown outcomes.

We’re glad grocery store bins exist, but unfortunately, many of those programs end up downcycling or exporting the plastic, and only a small portion is actually recycled

With SPC, every block is compacted and sent directly to verified partners, so you know it’s really recycled.

Every unit comes with a 30-day money-back guarantee, a 2-year limited warranty, and optional extended coverage. We offer free replacement for any defective units.
